The year 1953 saw the emergence of VMW ferrous and non-ferrous foundry - the vision of late V.G. Krishnamurthy, a pioneer in foundry industry with its basic business premises ideally located in the industrial city Bangalore which is well connected by road, rail and air ways to the other leading industrial cities.
It was under late V.G. Krishnamurthy's direction, that the manufacturing activities were streamlined to quality graded grey iron castings weighing upto 6 tons single piece, and now VMW has become a leader in that market ever since.
Since 1978, the present managing partner Mr. KG. Shekar has been closely associated with his father late V.G. Krishnamurthy and has acquired immense technical expertise and marketing acumen.
