Suryanis have their own manufacturing facility at Mysore. The suryanis ensure that every artefact from their factory is virtually created and does not run from a conventional mass production system. The artisans, the tools, the designs, the materials and the methods and systems are all carefully monitored and effective checks and balances administered.
The craftsmen who have their creative juices flowing have their skills honed and Suryanis believe that their creativity is best going by giving them absolute freedom and liberty of workmanship. This has borne fruit by the tangible translation into opening of Zabi Handicraft Exporters in 1984. "Art is the difference between seeing and just identifying"
Suryanis grew and went overseas by announcing their presence in the land of opportunity USA where in 1999, an outlet India Handicrafts and Gifts, was opened in Chicago, Illonois USA. The proof of quality and customer delight stems from the single factor of a customer returning and this is amply proved by repeat orders from buyers in Germany and other European Countries on regular basis.
While the crown has been studded with many a gem, the feathers that distinctly standout has been the occassion when the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, personally selected from a range of artifacts from various exhibitors, a souvenir crafted of sandalwood from Suryanis for the prime minister of Japan, Mr. Mori, while he visited Bangalore in 2002.
