As being from the family of goldsmith, I took training under my father and was very fond of making ornaments.

In the beginning I worked under a famous gold smith Mr.N.B.Mirlekar and started making some modern designs by putting my own efforts and within two years I made my identical place in the zaveri bazar.

The very famous jewellers like Vaman Hari Pethe, Tribhuvandas, Gokul das and company alongwith the jewellers from Pune such as Ranka Jewellers and employed me for my modern workmanship in jewellery making. I too had a very good and friendly relationship with all these people.

With the great support of all these people and my wife Mrs.Suhasini, I set up a small jewellery shop in Gurgaon on 14th July 1988, with the name S.M.Mahaparalkar Jewellers.

I was the first jeweller to start the era of K.D.M. jewellery for the Maharashtrians. Many of the jewellers thought that selling K.D.M. jewellery will make them suffer a great loss and so their business will too come to an end.

According to the favourable condition I decided to continue this idea and I got a great support from all sides and within a short space of time S.M.Mahaparalkar came into great existence and created a goodwill in the market.

The second jewellery shop was set up in Central Port of Dadar on 30th October 1996 with a great induction of many customers.
