Rangaswamy And Company (Coimbatore) was started as a subsidiary firm in April 1975 with a view to take over all the business of synthetics from S.V.Rangaswamy and Company Limited.
The synthetics we are dealing with Polyester Fibrefill, Filament yarn (Both Nylon and Polyester), Nylon and HDPE Nets, Rope and Twines for Fishing, Synthetic Adhesive for Lamination and Sticker Industry.
History S.V.Rangaswamy and Company Limited, one of the presitigeous organisation representing M/s.Bayer - GMBH Germany since the fifties and also dealing in Synthetic Textile Yarn, Nylon Fishing Twine and Fishing Nets, PP Ropes etc., under its Plastic Division.
In order to meet the requirements of the growing business. The management of S.V.Rangaswamy & Co. Ltd., felt that they should have a separate company to deal with the above plastic product.
And hence a new company was floated by the name 'Rangaswamy And Company (Coimbatore)' on 08.04.75 with its registered head office at Bangalore. The major companies represented were:

M/s.Garware Wall ropes Ltd
M/s.Garware Marine India Ltd.
M/s.Mafatlal Dyes & Chemicals Ltd
M/s.Sakalaspur Organics Pvt. Ltd.
A branch office at Udipi was started in 1977 to act as a consignment agent for the above 3 Garware Companies.
RCC also had to face the Ups and Downs of the emerging market and was able to come out strongly each time when in crisis. When RCC lost the agency of Garware Nylons Ltd. it was able to get the agecy for J.K.Synthetics Ltd. for their tyrecord and industrial yarn in Karnataka from 1991 to October 1997 till the company became sick.
In November 1997 RCC got the agency of Reliance Industries Ltd., for their 'Recron' Polyster Fibre fill and has been doing extremely well since then.
Business Activity
RCC has two business centres, one centre is in Bangalore and the other at Udipi. Our total turnover is about 100 Million, out of which 60 million is contributed to direct sales of Garware Wall Ropes Limited. Balance of 40 million by our own sales 25% of the same is contributed by our Udipi Depot. Most of Udipi turnover s of Fishing products only. The rest of 75% is from Bangalore. The bulk of which is from Recron of Reliance Reliance Industries Limited. |
