I had purchased a Gold Top from a leading and reputed firm in Raviwar Peth, Pune. The top had a beautiful design with English screws, i.e. screw threads were outside. I did comment to the owner that these types of screws never suited me and I always had swelling and irritation in ears. The owner promised nothing would happen and with his impressive sales talk. I immediately wore them.

By next morning, the swelling and irritation in the ears was more prominent .I rushed to the shop to exchange it with a piped screw threads .At the time of bill settlement, I was told that they wil deduct making charges and refining charges, which amounted to Rs.500 /-. Five hundred for wearing it only for a few hours. I tried to reason with the owner but to no avail.He was rude and demanded Rs. 500 /-or to take the old piece back. OLD PIECE ???????? The top was only 18 Hrs. old. I returned crestfallen.

This set me thinking. Why not open a shop, which can satisfy the customers need, be reasonable and treat him like a family. When the top show rooms are charging Rs. 100-150/- per GM. for a KDM Jewelry Why I cant make it more reasonable. Soon the seed of this idea took germination. This is how Poorab Jeweler's was born.
