Wire Flattening Round Reed wires are flattened between Tungsten Carbide rollers fitted on precision flattering machines.
Wire Shaping Flattened wire is processed and shaped by highly skilled craftsmen with the help of specially designed tools. Wire is perfectly straightened both horizontally and vertically. Reeds made from this wire therefore have a uniform smooth surface. Care is also taken to see that the edges of the wire are well rounded enabling smooth movement of the warp yarn.
Reed Fabrication Each different construction and density of reed is framed on machines specially designed for the purpose. Framed reeds are plasticised with tested epoxy compounds specially selected to increase the flexibility of the dents. Our reeds are therefore well prepared to absorb shocks in the weaving process.
Finishing Reeds are finished on sophisticated machines with special polishing materials to enhance the ovality of the dents. |
