The firm was initially stared by late Sri. S. Venkoba Rao under the name & style of Shivaji Timber Traders during the year 1955 as a small timber retail outlet at Cottonpet Main Road, Bangalore. Sri Venkoba Rao took one Sri. T.Shantaram to improvise the business as he had compe up with financial support. The partnership continued for several years in the said firm name of Shivaji Timber Traders. Then C.I.T.B. (City Improvement Trust Board) of Bangalore allotted a plot at New Timber Yard Layout in the year 1968 to the firm to carryout the timber trade.
In 1969, Sri Shantaram got seperated from the firm taking away 50% of the land so allotted by C.I.T.B at NewTimberYard Layout, Bangalore. Later, in the year 1974 the business was shifted to NewTimberYard Layout. Sri S. Venkoba Rao took retirement and left the business half done at NewTimberYard Layout. His son, Sri. V Umakantha Rao took over the business and in the year 1985 completely re-established the firm with a fully equipped Saw Mill and named it as Harsha Timber and Saw Mill.

We provide services of cutting round timber logs into required sizes of different sections of wooden scantlings. Right from analyzing the logs with a professional approach, to give bucking and to cut in a professional manner, we take care to bring out maximum positive output in a given log.
We deal in all varieties of timber logs such as Teak, Honne, Mathi, Kendal, Bilwar and other species, which are most commonly used in the construction of houses and apartments. Also we are specilized in supply of furniture raw material sawn out of Teak Billets, Rosewood Billets and Accasia Timber. We also manufacture electric wooden boxes of various sizes, which are required for electric board, panels and boxes. |
